MessageThis is completely unneccesary, giving money to people to research and generate energy through one method is not necessary. Again, more unnecessary spending which isn't justified.

MessagePresident Burgmuller,

Funding energy through environmentally friendly ways is good for both Baltusia and Terra. By funding research and generation of energy, you're creating more power and ideas for the country, thus generating more growth in our weak economy whilst also not polluting the world we live in.

And you say, Mr President, that "giving money to people to research and generate energy through one method is not necessary", yet that is what the Government is currently doing for nuclear power. You are granting money to a form of power that is proven to be more dangerous than renewables, and quite frankly shouldn't be used in this day and age! So may I ask whether the Government intends to reverse the current legislation that allows 'subsidies and tax reliefs' for the harmful nuclear energy industry!

MessageChairwoman Taylor,

Our government plans to reverse the current legislation which you refer to with regards to tax relief and subsidies for nuclear power.

OOC: I am going to speak with the mods about our economy, we are in budget surplus and have huge election turnout. I don't think the current protocol is correct for our current situation.

MessageOoc: i think the mods look at our economy and military every few months. Given all the RP stuff we've done such as the solar energy plant, the mining extraction deal with Istalia etc and our imminent elevation to the security council I think we have a good argument for this improving.

MessageWe have shown huge commitment to renewable energy through projects such as the solar power plant. Istalian scientists will share their renewable energy tech with us, so our own research will be significantly boosted in this way. Therefore right now I do no think any further subsidies are necessary. I respectfully suggest we look at this once our economy has improved and we have more money for this kind of funding.

MessageMr speaker

This is a step in the good direction, but we should go even further and simply outlaw fossil energy

MessageReally Ms Cote. Outlaw fossil energy? Because there aren't millions of jobs that would be lost, and we wouldn't loose a huge percentage of the national grid?

Incompetence. Again.

MessageMr Baker

As we once said, if economy must be done by pollution, then the economy is immoral and has no reason to even exist, If we cannot find a find to only get our energy from source that do not endanger animals, we do not deserve to use it.

MessageI'll complete what my collegues said, you seem to believe we aint awared of the impact regulation have on economy, on the contrary, we are awaree of them and we are fine with it.

I'll put my own two cent, if we had to crash the economy to save the planet, I would vote in favor with no hesitation.

MessageI'm sorry, am I honestly hearing this right. An elected party to the Baltusian Congress say they are aware that regulations impact the economy, but yet they are fine with it...
