Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker

In order to insure our children receive the best education possible, we need to improve the quality of our schools. The best way to do that is through competition. By introducing competition to public schools, we drive the quality of every school up. The laws of the market will insure that we can increase the productivity and efficiency of schools by simply implementing competition. That is why we wish to put forward regulated charter and private schools which will help us to drive our education system forward.

MessageDid you pay attention to our argument, or were you too busy fantasizing about nuking other countries to pay attention? What we're proposing is the introduction of competition into the education system. Did you also miss the word "regulated" or were you fantasizing about banning the stupid foreigners again? We regulate the schools and only give them grants if they meet curriculum requirements on the proposed case by case basis. Not to mention that the law already requires charters to be non-profit and if the parents deem the school inappropriate, they can switch to a different school. What we're offering is choice in our children's education, rather than some state-monopoly.

I also enjoy how the Assemblyman just asks a rhetorical question and says no, rather than actually debating the points raised.
