| Mr Speaker, although I sympathize with many of the moral objections that can be made against prostitution, it is my party's firm belief that trying to ban the world's oldest profession is a futile cause. In order to improve the working conditions of those women - and, to a lesser extent, men -, we should lift the blanket ban currently in place and instead strive for establishing a safe and controlled environment through legal recongition.
