Bill: Head of State Amendment

Details

Submitted by[?]: Shuggoth Progressive Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2182

Description[?]:

Being as Richard I has expressed an interest in abdicating in the past, and as He deserves to have some time to relax in his dotage, this bill would provide for a succession.

It would also give the HoS a role to play in cabinet formation, beyond being merely ceremonial.

MessageThis is republicanism at its very worst - an outrage! We are willing to fight and die, and kill, to preserve the monarchy in this holy empire.

MessageNot only does this have nothing to do with republicanism, it actually strengthens the power inherent in the Monarchy.

MessageWhile I support the monarchy, I miss the HoS elections. If only we could have HoG elections similar to the HoS elections.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.
