Message | If this means a single family can operate their own windmill, that's fine. But no private corporations making energy for profit. |
Date | 14:17:42, February 08, 2006 CET | From | Revolutionary Socialist Council | To | Debating the Power Bill |
Message | This act blatantly does mean that corporations will be profiting from energy. I dont see how single families cant have a windmill under the current legislation. Its hardly a power station is it? |
Date | 15:17:42, February 08, 2006 CET | From | Al'Badaran Conservative Party | To | Debating the Power Bill |
Message | We agree with the MPF. The national power grid is a much too serious matter to leave to the private sector. |

Message | These are fair points, and if it would affect the outcome we would change our vote. If there was an option allowing small-scale alternative energy generation, in addition toi nationalized power, that woudol be UPU preference for energy policy. Call the "yes" a symbolic vote for that option. |

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
