Bill: Propose To Withdraw From Luthori Treaty of Mutual Defense

Details

Submitted by[?]: Malivian People's Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4163

Description[?]:

We at The FOCL party are of the opinion that the Luthori Treaty of Mutual Defense does not benefit Malivia in any way what-so-ever and that the entire treaty has a darker purpose, which is to legally position their own military within other nations.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ARTICLE IV of the Luthori Treaty of Mutual Defense reads;
The signatory nation grants, and the Holy Luthori Empire accepts, the right to dispose Luthorian land, air and sea forces in and about the territory of the signatory nation as determined by mutual agreement.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From our own interpretation of the above article, the Holy Luthori Empire has the legal right to house their military in Malivia, as our mutual agreement was given upon signing the treaty.

The FOCL Party proposes that we immediately begin the process to withdraw from this treaty which will take one year from the day this process begins, as defined in the treaty itself "This Treaty shall remain in force indefinitely. Either Party may terminate it one year after notice has been given to the other Party." After which we should make sure the Holy Luthori Empire is not housing any military personal here.

MessageThe members of the Malivian Front are dedicated to protecting and defending our brethren and friends in Luthori. To refuse a friend and ally the ability station troops here with our mutual consent is undiplomatic and unbecoming of a great, civilized nation such as ours.

The Malivian Front stands firm to our Luthori heritage and to our family in Luthori.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.

Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician
