Bill: Immigration act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Party for Guaridos

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4165

Description[?]:

Mass immigration to Guaridos will lead to a nation which is unrecognisable to everyone who has been here all their lives. Soon we will have foreign languages spoken more commonly than our own, little to no green space, congested roads and a failing health service. This bill aims to find ways that we can keep the positives on immigration while filtering the negetives.

Article 1: Immigration must be kept to a minimum of 10,500 people a year. At the moment it's higher than that.
Article 2: Immigrants will have to pay for healthcare whilst here.
Article 3: Families of less than three people can't stay longer than 5 years at a time without renewing their visa.
Article 4: Refugees and asylum seekers must apply and take several assessments and tests before being accepted in, they will also not be prioritied over others unless their situation is dire.
Article 5: Immigrants must learn our native language and have a job already organised before entry.
Article 6: Upon entry each immigrant will have to swear an oath to Guaridos and our people.

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.

Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
