Details

Submitted by[?]: Government of Tropica

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4164

Description[?]:

We once passed a law that said the government will provide incitatives, to help people choosing environnemently friendly fuels, over fossil fuel, but we did not saw any action, and we are skeptic on the success of such a law.

This law will force everyone in the nation to have electric cars, it will be hard to implement, but in 20 years, we'll get it done and we'll be unable to go back anymore. Pollution aint a right.

MessageMembers of Congress,

This would have a disastrous effect on our domestic automotive industry. The local companies would not be able to cope with the technologically-superior imports from the global automotive giants and may well struggle to stay in business. The research costs and time it would take for our companies to completely move to this technology would bankrupt them anyway.

If our economy was on a par with, say, our neighbour Kalistan I would say ok but right now we are not.

Let's preserve the environment with moderate, sensible proposals - but let us not destroy our industrial and manufacturing base with hasty bills that push too far too quickly.

Environment Minister

MessageYes, such a bill would have a serious effect on our industries, in particularity automobile industries, we know nothing change from today to tomorrow, but if we don't take immediate step, nothing will change. we suggest simple execution to accompagny this bill.

Every compagny that disrespect will be handled fine everyday, but if they can product non-polluting only by 4 years, the government will forgive all fines.

I know from "friends" in CEO, who I will not reveal their names because they would lose their jobs, that the main Baltusian compagny know how to produce such cars.

MessageMr speaker.

Which I why I have suggested executive actions, that would pressure the compagny into change and reward those who tried the law.
As my temporary leader have already recognize, even evils corporations, do not respect this, right now.
