MessageWe don't ban prayers, we ban teachers led prayers, which is the teacher imposing his relation on his student.

MessageI know poppycock when I hear it.

In religious schools the religious figures often take lessons too. I know as I attended one. Art history, Bible studies, classical language use in the Hosian scriptures were all taught by Father Padraigh. Sometimes Reverend Joseph taught English, Pastor Ryan even helped out in PE and taught me to play cricket. That is how religious schools work. So where are you drawing the line here?

MessageI came from a religious school, Yet, Father Williams never led a prayer in his classes, and never tried to impose his hosian faith on others persons.

MessageThe BDGP doesn't agree with banning teacher-led prayers in 'religious schools'. Some parents put their children in these places for precisely these reasons and banning them seem to defeat the purpose of these types of schools.

And Ms Legault-Williams, where does it say in current legislation that prayers should be forced upon students? I personally don't see how a teacher leading a prayer is 'imposing his hosian faith on other persons'. Those that send children to these types of schools surely know that there will be some 'religion' involved in their education.
