Bill: State Political Emblems and System Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4166

Description[?]:

The old protocols are based on a Caribbean setting, with a mixed society. Hence I changed the national motto to out of many, one people. Also, the Caribbean political system is based on Westminster British political system and that's why I changed it from realms to constituencies. lastly, the flag is a symbol of diversity, with a fruit tree leaf in the middle representing the Caribbean and peace and Justice(pax et Justitia) as a symbol of the type of people and nation we are. Blue represents the vast ocean waters, yellow the sun and warmth of the people and green the lush forest of our nation and fight to protect our environment.

MessageI disagree with 1. And by the way, I think you are violating the rules of Particracy with Article 1. Particracy should not be related with real life objects and names.

MessageArticle 1 is simply a flag that doesn't exist as a flag of any state in real life. If Particracy didn't want us to use a flag off the WWW, it wouldn't have urged us to provide a URL for it.

Under the Particracy rules, Sec 5(6) Variables- Official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America).

It only alludes to real life flags of nations or states or that which is prominent. this flag is not a flag of a state and also not prominent. Thereby i don't think I'm in contravention or breach of game rules.

MessageThese are major proposals. The MPP would need very good reasoning to vote yes on these matters. The national flag is a matter of pride and identity. I would think a very detailed debate would need to take place for this.

MessageI agree and that is why I have extended the debate as this is the second reading of the motion. I plan to carry out the third and final reading in the next 6 game months so that everyone will have the ability to make an input before it's put to vote

MessageWhat i'll like to highlight is that since the passage of the new cultural protocols, nothing has changed and I believe it's time we create our new identity. That is why i propose the changes i made.

MessageThat's probably the best reason you could have given to convince The MPP. After researching your proposed changes, they seem to fit very well into the cultural protocols changes.
We will continue to monitor and add to this debate, but as it stands now we agree with this bill.
