MessageWouldn't it be better for the future of our children to see them grow up in a nation where they can choose, grow and prosper, without any restrictions?

Setting a religion in front of the window, so to speak, for everyone to see is encouraging the belief in that religion, with no eye for the individual needs of our citizens.

We have far too freedom-loving citizens to restrict them in their beliefs.

MessageA region's religion is a measure of the heartbeat of the people who live there. Why is their a need to seperate it from the government which seeks to lead our citizens. People want guidance and stability from their government and their religion, their goals are the same and this belief that they should be seperated is flawed.
However allowing any religion to set up a school is leaving us open for abuses. we would rather only permit a religion which has achieved sufficient following to be an actor in the lives of many to be permitted to teach our youth. Otherwise any cult or sect will be permitted to brainwash our future toward their own ends. Our children must be protected and thus we cannot permit just any religion to set up a school.

MessageThen how can we be sure the state religion will not turn into the very thing we were trying to prevent? Religions always have certain values, and although most can often be considered as good-natured, some can impede the progress of society to higher levels of understanding and freedom.

MessageAlthough, we must disagree with article 1. As the PP states it is unacceptable for just any cult or sect (technically a religion) to just start their schools and "brainwash" the students. Religiously-influenced schools can however be allowed if strict regulations are followed and there is sufficient supervision by the state to ensure no fanaticism and other similar ideologies are being taught.

MessageWho is the governement to restrict which religions are open for our citizens to worship? If we would limit the amount of religions or even say which could be featured for school, wouldn't the governement limit the minds of our children?

The reason why we should seperate the governement from religion is because the only entity that is allowed to rume the state is the people, and not the other way around. A governement saying which religion we should practice is a governement saying how we should think.

MessageWe can agree to Article 2, but cannot agree with Article 1.

It has been said before and the risks are too great to just let our people fall into the abyss. What will we do if a religion revolving around torture is founded? Will you be the first to sacrifice your child?

We certainly hope not.

As such, we will be voting against this measure for the protection of the people!

MessageIt is not more than logical that every teaching body will be regulated by basic law. The lack of regulations only concern religious subjects. A religion in which torture or violence is encouraged would never be allowed in the first place, since these actions are illegal.
All religions that act within the framework of the law should be able to set up schools.

MessageIt is also the government's duty to protect the people. Obviously we mustn't go about banning every religion we just don't like for no obvious reason. Some freedoms must be sacrificed to protect the people, after all if employers were simply allowed to fire an employee for no reason, the people would suffer. As such, some religions are too dangerous to be taught to everyone. History has shown as that the great mass can be very gullible when it comes to religion, or ideology for that matter.

MessageNote: being dangerous isn't always against the letter of the law (unfortunately it's not the spirit of the law that counts).
