Message | Mr Speaker, Our party supports our local communities, and we believe that local governments know the requirements of their constituents better than a blanket policy nationwide. As the Lib Dems proposed joining the Direct Democracy treaty, surely they would too support maximising democracy and choice, therefore supporting local authorities instead deciding policies on this matter.
