Bill: Baltusia First – Industrial Regulation Review

Details

Submitted by[?]: Patriotic Party of Baltusia

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4171

Description[?]:

Madame Speaker,

Out there in our industrial heartland many of our businesses are under threat. Why? I'll tell you why? Because of the leftist way of thinking over the environment.

The folk on the opposite benches would have us all living in caves rather than cut down a tree or burn some coal. They are parasites on our economy, sucking the lifeblood out of it without thinking of the consequences. We need to turn things around. We need to put Baltusian business first. We need to put peoples' jobs first. We need to give the economy the chance to flourish and grow, not stifle it in its infancy.

People talk a lot about global warming. I say there is a lot of hot air being spouted. Any consequences are many years off and much less severe than initially projected - that's what our scientists at the Hosian Institute of Ecology tell us. That's especially true in Baltusia where our small economy has a negligible impact on such matters. Let the lefties go and spout their industrial concerns in Kalistan, Hutori, Trigunia or any of the other major economies where this heavy regulation approach is more appropriate. Not here, not in Baltusia where it is more damaging than effective.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
