Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, Many of the issues raised by the PSD and others are very relevant, but cannot be solved without the help of the entrepreneurs of the free market. We should raise our environmental standards immensely and retake the ultimate responsibility of our natural resources, our heritage, while leaving day-to-day work to competent private entrepreneurs who are able to bring us cost-effective services. We shall subsidize farmers who produce crops in an environmentally friendly way. Non organic or GMO products should not be produced on Dranish soil. This is an issue that affects us all and not just as private individuals, as the hormones and poison used to produce the other products contaminates the water and the air and affects us all in various negative ways. Message | Mr Speaker, this bill will impose a blanket ban on conventional farming and the logging industry, increase food prices by abolishing innovative techniques such as growing GM crops and hit manufacturing hard by upping pollution standards even more. A subsidy will not compensate for the great loss in productive capacity and competitivity, it is absolutely obvious that to let this bill pass will impose ruin and devastation on rural communities. Although this shall not affect the coalition, I will hand in my resignation if it becomes law, for I cannot justify it before the people of my constituency - or indeed, God - to administer its draconian provisions. Message | Mr. Speaker, Why are white people so obsessed with nature? The answer is obvious, they are closer to animals than the rest of us! |
