Bill: Lowering Adult Age
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Democrat League
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2184
Description[?]:
In addition to the Child Labour Abolition bill, it seems wise to lower the adult age to at least 18. This would still allow young adults to work, without endangering the children of a much younger age. Eighteen is a sufficient age for the child to have a well-developed education, it still remains possible for those that want to continue their education to go on to higher education and develop further skills. |

Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The age until which students, if education were to be compulsary, are required to be educated (limited between 16 and 21).

Message | We second this. It is logical that the age of becoming adult adjusts to the evolution of society. |

Message | Note: it is obviously important that this bill should only be carried out if a sufficient quality of education can be provided until the age of 18. And I do believe this is the case. |

Message | Note by the Socialist Democrat Party taken. We shall help guarding the quality of education even more closely now. |

Message | We cannot agree to this. The modern society introduces the need for more education to become competitve and we need more information and maturity to act appropriately. The age of 21 gives our youth a chance to achieve a greater level of education without the demands placed by adulthood. |

Message | In the current society where youth comes in touch with nearly everything at very young age it is not more than normal that they grow up quite fast. And together with our exelent system of education we belief we can trust that society to deliver adult people at the age of 18, thus boosting our economy and stretching our population to it's full potential. |

Message | We agree. An 18 year old person is just as capable of serving in the military as some 3 years older. |
