Bill: Legalizing Things

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Liberal Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4176

Description[?]:

Yes, we all know you will not love your sibling, you will not cheat on your spouse (and you don't want them to), you will not have sex for money. But there is people who do. There is people who want to, or have to, or just cannot resist. They will not hurt anyone.

Marriage is a friendly agreement based on trust. If some of the parties breaks it, or breaks trust, what's the matter for the government? It can be awful, disrespectful or whatever, but seriously, why should it be legally banned?

Love is a thing you cannot control, and I am sure one way or another you know it. If it happens to be between close relatives, so what? Do they have less rights than the rest of us?

And do prostitutes, for some reason, have to have less rights than the rest of workers? Shan't they have access to public services and rights and pay their taxes like everyone else? Are they perhaps second class workers? Do we want them to be so?

I hope my [passive-agressive rethorical] questions make you think a bit.

~~ Lisa Kallman, Secretary of Justice
