| Alright, somebody tell me exactly as to why we need to use nuclear power, or even stimulate it. An argument was that is safe now, and clean. Well, I believe nuclear power still provides waste, does it not? Waste one can not get rid of and won't be gone for decades and on. And it is not as if we do not have better alternatives, because we do. We can use green energy, cleaner than nuclear energy because it has no waste, ever. Unlike nuclear energy, we do not even have to say it is safe, because there is no threat at all what so ever. Even better yet, it is profitable. Because where as technology made nuclear power safe in this age (the year is 2183), green energy is made profitable through technology, especially since it had fundings in research for years (article Renewable energy sources (eg. solar power, wind power) has been in effect with the following value for years too: Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources.) And it has a broad base to draw from. The sun, the wind, the sea, the heat of the planet, and so on. For example, one can install cheap sun pannels, who blend in with the structures of today, and get energy from the sun, right from that installation on your house. No money to be paid by running energy through a grid! Ofcourse, there are clouds. But recent technology should have still made it profitable. |

| Message | Kinda forgot about this bill. RWE, the reasons you stated were 1. Nuclear power is clean 2. Our energy needs cannot be fully met by renewable energy 3. It is safe now since it has been perfected (it is the year 2180 after all) 1. What about nuclear waste? 2. Our energy can be fully met by renewable energy, it is the year 2185 after all. And we lived without nuclear energy before and we had no problems here in Rildanor. 3. Green energy is safer, since it has no possibility what so ever to cause hazards in the wrong hands. And too much space? It is the year 2185, solar energy cells have been incorperated in the roofs of people, but in such a way that you don't even see. Wind mills can be put in the sea, or in places where we have enough space anyways. There are other alternative green energy sources too, like geothermal energy and energy from the water. A lot of power can be gained from the tides aswell. Well, better push it to a vote now. |
