Message | While we didn't open this bill to debate when the Hosian Democrats made their objections, and the bill has changed very much. But, how is the removal of the state from regulating marriage at all anti-traditional families or family values? Please, do inform me. Elizabeth (II) Genn, Genisutisuku Pātē Chairwoman. |

Message | Herr Präsident, We would like an outright ban on polygamy but this is a change in the right direction. The reason getting the state out of marriage is antithetical to family values is that you cannot provide the proper state support to families, which are formed by marriage, if you declare the state's neutrality. The HDV will always stand up for the Kleine Leute and their family values and traditions and we find it troubling that such a bill was even contemplated in the first place. der sr. ehrw. Message | Why this sudden need to attack those who pursue traditional Gao-Showan cultural practices? These are the real family and cultural values that underlie our society. We do not understand the virtue of removing state "regulation" in this matter either. Why make ambiguous what is legal? It makes no sense unless it is a precursor to some manner of ban. Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
