Bill: OOC: Roleplay law on legislature size

Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: May 4179
Description[?]:
Roleplay laws are pieces of legislation that regulate player behavior without directly affecting the game mechanics. After I recently proposed a reduction of parliamentary seats from 500 to 300, I began thinking that such changes should not happen too frequently -- the legislature can't gain or lose hundreds of seats at a time whenever the dominant party feels like making a change. Therefore, I propose to legally limit the number of seats the legislature may gain or lose as the result of a single bill, to 50. Meaning that if the current seat count is 300, then you can only add or remove a maximum of 50 in a single bill (so either to 350 or 250, at most). The size of parliament should not change often, and this new law will make changes more realistic. This obviously will not affect the change from 500 to 300, though. If this bill passes, it will be added to the "OOC: Roleplay laws" folder and become binding. |

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law. |
