Message | OOC: As I know that you are actually a "Libertarian" irl, you are aware that the "tragedy of the commons" can be disproven by simply agreeing on how to use said commons? The man who who wrote the thesis eventually even agreed that it was wrong! Anyway, sorry for this, but I'm fine with people with different beliefs and such things, but the "tragedy of the Commons" is one of my political petpeeves. |

Message | I am a Libertarian indeed, and therefore I strongly believe, that the private market simply handles things more efficiently, if people could make money, from selling forests, would they want to sell it all after 1 year, or sell forest for ever? If its government however, then it does not have direct interest in it, they are susceptible to lobbying and just want re election. |
