Bill: The Articles of a New Beluzia
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: July 4181
Description[?]:
Our great Republic has come so far in its long life. We have fought great wars and emerged victorious. We champion such powerful ideals and our influence stretches across the world. We still have the potential to be so much more, even now. We fall behind others in several fields, but this is not something that needs to happen. We have the power to change everything, to become something greater. We must united behind a single person – a President, elected by the people. He or she will not hold all of the power. The Separation of Powers will still remain. The Executive Branch will unite behind the President, however, instead of using the Head of State as a figure head to blame when the Government does wrong. This strengthens these individual powers and branches, it does not weaken them. Instead of having constant infighting and constant arguing, we will have a person and a cause we agree on and unite behind. This is the purpose of this bill – to unite the people behind one individual whom we all can point toward to guidance. No longer will politics be ruled by which ideal is the strongest. With our two round voting system, it will now be ruled by a man or woman we can all feel comfortable entrusting our lives with. It is time for a New Beluzia. |

Message | Our party extends our support for this bill for two primary reasons. 1. The separation of the Head of State and the Head of Government makes either role appear to be more of a figurehead depending on the current political climate of the country. The unity of these two roles creates a true powerful leader that the nation can look to for guidance. 2. Oftentimes, the Head of State and Head of Government are controlled by the same political party. If they are not, this leads to the infighting as referenced above. Putting both roles in the hands of one person and the hands of one party provides more cohesive control to the leader which creates a better form of government. |

Message | This bill would also help create a separation of powers. Legislative and executive powers are too closely intertwined under a parliamentary system. |
