MessageOOC: You had me worried, so I did some research to make sure everything was in order.
1. This is a constitutional amendment. In the constitution, the number of seats is highlighted and (if this is passed) the number will change from 500 to 750. This is the only place I found in the constitution that listed the number of seats and there appears to be no other way to change it.
2. The Capitalist Party changed the number of seats from 116 to 750 in the "Reform" of November 4005.
3. The Socialist Green Party changed the number of seats from 750 to 399 in the "Legislative Reform Bill" of September 4045.
4. As stated in the proposal, the number should be between 75 and 750.
5. On the wiki page for constitutional amendments, it states that the number of seats can be changed through a constitutional amendment.

MessageI still don't see the reason behind the increase of the seats. This will only allow bigger parties like yours to gain too much power and other parties won't able to have a say in our government.

MessageSeats are assigned based on percentage of votes, no? If so, the percentage of seats held by each party will be close to the same, but would be a more accurate representation of how the people voted. For example, if one party gets 15.3% of the vote, but there are only 100 seats, then that party will only have 15 seats, which is only 15%. Any increase in the total number of seats will give every party more seats, not just the large parties. The difference is that larger numbers allow that party to get closer to the 15.3% it has earned. Likewise, the party that earned 14.6% of the votes will be less likely to get 15 seats, which would be more than they earned. It is simple math, not empowerment of large parties.
