Bill: Anti-Terror Laws 4183

Details

Submitted by[?]: Patriotic Party of Baltusia

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4183

Description[?]:

Members of Congress,

I put forward legislation for increasing security and protecting people in light of the terrorist atrocity in Terrarokka. We believe these are necessary measures to ensure peace throughout Baltusia.

The death penalty, we are confident, will act as a deterrent to would-be terrorists, while the proximity of Terrarokka to our national border means we must also clamp down on people travelling into our country on false papers.

In addition, we will be looking into the backgrounds of a number of party activists associated with certain far left parties and keeping a very vigilant watch on their activities.

This government will not tolerate terrorism and we will not tolerate left wing anarchists trying to claw the state of Terrarokka away from Baltusia through violence and anarchy.

MessageMembers of Congress,

Of course the RAC Party doesn't want these laws and extra security in place. It makes me confident that our investigation into these vile acts is heading in the right direction and our suspicions are correct.

MessageWhilst security in the country should be tightened after the attack, bringing back the death penalty will do nothing to deter determined terrorists, and wouldn't have stopped the atrocity in Terrarokka. And giving police officers full on military-grade equipment would only intimidate members of the public, meaning they're much less likely to go to the authorities with essential information - information that would prevent these weapons being used in the first place.

And may I ask the Home Secretary why he is singling out far-left extremists specifically when BAITI hasn't even finished their investigation into this - or at least as far as I'm aware. If he is to look into extremists in order to protect Baltusians, I ask that he check up on both far-left and far-right activists, so as to ensure all sides of the political divide remain safe.

MessageI welcome the good work of the Home Secretary and find the opposition of the RAC Party to be absolutely appalling. By opposing this bill, they are essentially telling the Baltusian people that their party are terrorist-loving scum. Typical lefties.

MessageMembers of Congress,

May I say that if we had kept the death penalty in place we believe this atrocity would have been more unlikely to occur by up to 32 per cent - that is a one in three better chance the victims would have had of still being alive. Not a certainty but a worthy deterrent, folks, a worthy deterrent.

Better armed police and stricter police laws help us clamp down on terror. They did with RABA and they did with the Vampires - they would with this. Yes sir they would.

I single out far left groups because of the security briefings I receive and because my instinct serves me well. The fact these attacks occurred as soon as the President announced his party was voting no to this Referendum is not just a mere coincidence. Left wing anarchists are to blame for this - we all know it, it is just expedient for some parties to edge their bets and not say anything.

Well I say this: my party stands by President Trudeau on this and we urge our supporters to vote no to devolution and no to giving in to separatist terrorists. Let's see how many of them that statement draws out of their fox holes. We'll be waiting for you!
