Bill: Paramilitary Restriction Bill

Details

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4184

Description[?]:

Dear colleagues,

Our nation is prospering in peace and prosperity. We may clash on political ideals as well as racial and religious ideologies. One thing remains clear: we are all committed to a strong government that can impelement law and change.

This is why we frown at the current laws concerning Paramilitary organisations: Paramilitaries are allowed with full privileges, with the right to intervene when necessary.

This means that a Paramilitary group can decide on it's own to overthrow the government, terrorize the people or start arrest campaigns. That would put them in total opposition towards our national military. That's why we as the SDA propose the following change:

Paramilitaries are allowed but are heavily regulated by the government.

This way, Paramilitaries could help with local security, wild-life protection, tracking down criminals and smugglers and supporting the army in case of war. What are your thoughts?

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
