Bill: Weapons repeal act 4183

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Justice Coalition

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4184

Description[?]:

There is no excuse for CBRN weapons in this day and age. Proliferating these technologies does not assure us peace, just makes us more of a target. This act intends to change the policy in military weapons to bring us in line with the reality it is peacetime.

There is no excuse for the horror chemical and biological weapons bring on innocent people. We want the production and use of them entirely banned.

We would like to move this nation towards complete nuclear disarmament. In the meantime however, I would like a change in stance on this issue so that we will only consider using these in response to an existing threat. Be assured, in the longer term we want to see complete disarming of nukes here. This should be the start of a progressive policy towards disarmament,
