Description[?]:
This bill is to fix the current horrible healthcare system which is not helping anyone. We have kept good parts of the current healthcare system and replaced the bad parts. We will continue to amend the healthcare system but these are the main parts of TromppCare which will be affordable and will help everyone. We have kept parts made by former Mordusian Presidents such as Bob Murphy, Gary Rickard, George Seenton, etc. as they are parts of their legacy and we respect them and those parts of the current healthcare system are working well. ABORTIONS Article 1 and 2 are for abortions. An abortion is removing an unborn child from the mother so that the mother does not proceed with childbirth. Abortions are killing unborn children which is a bad thing. The government should not be funding the massacre of unborn children as it is wrong. In medical emergencies such as rape and if the mother will die during childbirth or something like that an abortion will be allowed to take place. If a teenager has unprotected sex and gets pregnant they should not be allowed an abortion so therefore the child will get born, go to an orphanage and grow up to be a wonderful member of Mordusian society. EUTHANASIA Euthanasia is a drug which once administered kills the patient. We understand that people that suffer non-curable diseases such as cancer that will eventually kill them are in pain and want to stop that through death. With a court order the judicial system can be time consuming but it allows the patient to have time to think about whether they want to die or continue to live their life. It also gives time for breakthroughs in medical technologies which can cure their disease. Also some disease can be cured through a long process but eventually they will survive. IVF IVF should be regulated and only allowed for married couples that can't have children. Yes unmarried couples want children as well but however there can be problems with that so simply we should only allow married couples IVF as most have a decent income. RECREATIONAL DRUG USE Many people use recreational drugs and some are not harmful to the body but others are. Also drug dealers can make a lot of money as well. So what the government should do is legalise recreational drugs but regulate them to make sure that they are not harmful and also tax the profits made by drug dealers so the government can have plenty of cash for important purposes. UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS The government will give unemployed people that are not supported by another person benefits for a certain period of time. This is to allow people to get back on their feet and get a job. The current policy does not have a time limit for the wages which stops people from looking for employment so we give them a period of time and during that period of time they can find a job and start a nice life for them and they can contribute to society like a majority of citizens. This will also cut down on the high unemployment rates in Mordusia. RETIREMENT AGE We have increased the retirement age so that older people can contribute to Mordusian society. However they will only do minor jobs and teach skills to younger generations for example they can teach them woodwork or give apprenticeships and teach gardening, etc. This will also keep them fit and healthy so that they can have a happy, long life. Message | Our position on abortions has not changed since the party of the President proposed it be outlawed 3 years ago. To quote our Congressional Leader, Alison Mulholland, from that debate, 'We oppose this attack on women's rights. Not only is it just for women to have autonomy over their own bodies, but legal, safe abortions are the most practical solution to ensuring women receive high quality healthcare. Mordusia should not return to the days of backstreet, unsafe medical procedures.' With regard to the other articles in the bill, we support the laws regarding euthanasia, drug use and IVF remaining as they are. Whilst we agree that smoking is harmful and detrimental to the health of the nation, an outright ban may be too drastic a step and infringe to much on individual liberty. The final two Articles are not really healthcare proposals, however we believe that increasing life expectancy will require cross party talks about the sustainability of the current retirement age.
