Bill: Regulation of Firings Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Sunrise Party 해돋이당
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4186
Description[?]:
A bill to change the current policy where Employers are free to fire workers who go on strike. The current policy allows too much freedom to employers to dispose of our nation's workers and it requires change to a more orderly environment. If too many strike and are consequently fired, the stability of the nation may be in jeopardy because of the higher unemployment and so regulations are necessary in the interests of national security. Instead employers will be allowed to fire employees, but not without consulting the government first. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers.
Old value:: Employers are free to fire workers who go on strike.
Current: Employers can fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons.

Message | Mr Speaker, This seems like a rather extreme position to take. I believe the GHD's previous bill in regard to this issue was more apt. We will most likely be voting 'nay' on this particular bill. Park Ji-won Chairwoman of the GHD Congresswoman from Hyonggi |

Message | Dear Chairwoman, The bill you proposed would've eliminated the firing strikers policy completely. We don't approve of the current setup where employers can fire employees for striking seemingly on a whim but we also believe that eliminating Employer choice in the matter is too restrictive. The regulatory bill we propose seems like a decent compromise between employers', workers' and government interests. Kim Minjun Chairman of the NCP |

Message | We do not agree with this bill at all. the current law has only just been put in place and is working vey sufficiently and a lot fairer than the proposed one |
Date | 11:15:50, March 23, 2017 CET | From | 반동주의자당 (Bandongjuuijadang) | To | Debating the Regulation of Firings Act |
Message | Mr Speaker, Workers who strike are the threat to stability of this nation. By robbing of their purchasing power via rendering them unemployed we reduce their power to destabilise the nation in service of their evil socialist class war agendas. |

Message | To Labour Party and all other parties concerned, Very well we of NCP would like to hear what your proposals contain? Perhaps we can come to some kind of satisfactory agreement and perhaps we could broaden the scope of the bill to include some thing you would like to see happen. We eagerly await your response. Chairman Kim Minjun National Conservative Party |

Message | We would not be willing to negotiate on this. Our party is here to support workers and by allowing this bill to pass will go against everything we stand for |
Date | 10:24:13, March 25, 2017 CET | From | Social Democrat Alliance | To | Debating the Regulation of Firings Act |
Message | The SDA supports Labour and the Republicans in this. We support the workers on the floor, not managers at the top. We agree that further negotiations are needed between political parties to reach consensus on this subject. |
