Message | Members of Congress, It is clear that the Right Alliance Cabinet I originally proposed will not work. It is also clear that, whichever way I look at it, there is not enough support to include the National Party in a majority cabinet. I therefore have two choices: call another election in the hope this will provide enough cooperating parties a clearer mandate, or present a revised Cabinet, including different parties. I do not believe there is appetite for another election so I will look to form a revised Cabinet. I wish to include Popular Consensus in this cabinet and believe their centrist free market approach will complement the other parties I have chosen. Let me say that this cabinet in no way should affect the plurality of the National Party in Congress and their mandate to nominate the majority speaker. I also respect the decision by the BDGP to form a congressional opposition and endorse their role as minority Speaker. Given the debate we have had I would say this: i welcome and encourage free speech. Particularly so if a party is supported in its views by millions of people. Sometimes issues are tough ones to debate but debate them we should and I hope Congress can continue to have open and honest discussions. I will move this to vote and hope it will receive the support it requires. In the meantime I will get on with running this country which starts with setting out the details of Terrarokka devolution. President William F. Mace |

Message | I am hoping that the other parties will decide on the cabinet as soon as possible. The new leader should be given a chance. |

Message | President Mace, Members of Congress, I obviously oppose this cabinet, which completely ignores that the National Party was granted a mandate to govern. The Patriotic Party would do well to sever their ties with the Republicans as soon as possible before voters begin to desert them. We also question why the BDGP should be allowed to form the opposition? To quote Article 2.5 of the Constitution, "A Minority Speaker of the House will be appointed. This person is the leader of the biggest party from an opposing caucus to that of the Majority Speaker's party. This applies unless that person is also elected The President in which case he/she may nominate another member of their party to take on the role." Given that I am not from the same caucus as the Patriots, it should be their leader who takes the position- not the BDGP's. I hope you will address this matter soon.
