| Revised draft of defence industry privatization bill presented before the Darnussian Senate by Senator Miranda Garneau and Senator James T. Gottlieb of the New Liberal Alliance: This act moves to reverse a previous bill passed recently by this auspicious Senate to create a national, state-owned and operated defence industry. It is important to present more economic freedom and encourage competition in order for companies to strive to advance technologies in order to receive a contract. This motion allows for many new ideas to arise which could also be used to better life in a civil and social context. A government-owned and operated defence industry will be too mammoth and provide directly for the government leaving other companies and their inventions from any chance to bring their innovations into being which affects civil technological advancement itself. The advancement and creation of the Internet, for example, started from a military program which went into civilian use. Not only will this allow for less need for money to be spent to maintain a large government institution with the sole purpose to manufacture arms, this money could instead be used for humanitarian and social programs instead of undertaking the burden of a rise and fall of a defence company owned entirely by the government. This measure will also counter-act "state capitalism", in which, essentially, the government becomes a company in itself instead of many private enterprise and ventures competing. We find that individual and private ventures to be the best for the advancement of the nation. |

| Message | Well I'm sorry if I am not one to support the government using tax money to construct and create weapons used for killing across the world and leave it up to individuals. It is obvious the Democratic Socialist Party would rather we spend money on maintaining and constructing government-owned killing machines instead of using the people's hard-earned tax money on something that actually benefits them. |
