Message | "Yes, zero corporate taxes might attract foreign businesses, but where does Mr. Martin think all of those wonderful profits are going? They're not staying in Rutania, we can assure you. We are essentially letting a bunch of foreign businesses invade, exploit our infrastructure and steal our resources, and then send their stolen goods back to company HQ in Luthori or Beluzia. Moreover, no corporate taxes mean our wealthiest citizens can avoid paying their fair share indefinitely, as they can spirit away all of their earnings in their companies and avoid paying personal income tax. A 5% corporate tax rate is modest and more than reasonable, the vast majority of countries around the world have corporate taxes at 10% or above." --St. John Appleby, chief CRL economic spokesman |

Date | 21:46:19, March 28, 2017 CET | From | Whig Party | To | Debating the Corporate Taxation Act |
Message | Elmer Clark, Whig Party chairman - The CRL seeks to extract wealth in anyway possible, just like their failed income tax from years ago. The businesses coming to Rutania are contributing, by providing jobs they help make Rutania a prosperous nation. The current tax policy also allows us to be one of the most attractive nations for entrepreneurs, besides the funds aren't needed, we have a budget surplus. Our current policy of no corporate tax makes Rutania a haven for social mobility if you are an entrepreneur. |
