MessageGiuseppe Al-Walid, Whip of PSLI:

"my party votes in favor of this proposal because we are convinced that our citizens should not show their loyality and proud to be istalian for a piece of cloth, but they should show it with their actions, like engaging at work for a productive and efficient industry and economy, respecting the law and the institution, showing their appreciation for their country with concrete action, even more significative than any other provisions about the flag.
We always will honorate it as a symbol of the nations, but why make mandatory it? A men should be free to show freely their proud for their nations and, if they want, they should also free to show their disappointment also attacking the flag of a Nation and State which, clearly, seems to have disappointed their hopes.

Thank you"
