Bill: Constitutional Amendment

Details

Submitted by[?]: Algemeyner Yeudisher Arbeter Bund

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4189

Description[?]:

This Amendment to the Constitution repeals the following section:

"3. The military and police have the right to undertake steps to ensure the conservative nature of Beiteynu."

It is ridiculous to enshrine any particular ideology in our Constitution, and even more dangerous to empower the military to remove democratically-elected governments, particularly under such a vague and amorphous standard.

Furthermore, RP-law changes have to be clearly described and outlined. For more see the rp rules in the forum.

MessageOOC: dude relax. We get it, you don't like competition, but your constitution is both poorly written and fundamentally not fun

MessageOOC: How is this proposal "clearly" against the rules. I have already "familiraized" myself with the RP rules plenty. Nothing in this is against the rules--your "constitutional amendments" can be changed by a 2/3 vote. Stop being so cranky that you don't always get your way.

As you might have overread: The bill must be clearly specified as an rp bill. This has not happen. To vote in favour of it would mean to accept a clear breach of the rp rules.
Anyway, this bill will not get 2/3-majority so indeed i get my way ;)

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.
