Bill: Controlled Substances Privatization and Regulation Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Likatonian Independence Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4189
Description[?]:
Controlled substances should only be handed out by strongly regulated companies. Having a government monopoly leads to inefficiency in this area, giving the production and distribution to the free market will help ease these inefficiencies. In addition to this, if a substance is impure and this leads to someone becoming very sick or worse, then the private company could be sued and potentially forced to close its doors. This puts an enormous pressure on them to offer a quality product and stay in business against their competitors. |
