| This measure would eliminate protectionist tariffs. This would do two things: - First, it would allow for the people of Dolgaristan to import cheap goods, lowering costs for consumers and freeing up Dolgaristani capital to invest in other things (thus improving the economy as a whole). - Second, it would displace certain domestic workers as foreign goods enter the market. To solve this problem, the Democracy Party would recommend a robust social safety net and the retraining of those displaced workers so they may re-enter the labor market. |
