Bill: Media Privatization Act 4191
Details
Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 4192
Description[?]:
Once again, we put this discussion up for debate for the National Assembly. We see absolutely no reason why the government should continue to subsidize and run NON ESSENTIAL industries, entertainment industries which are perfectly capable of being run by the private sector fully. The government has previously spoken of information and educational programmes being run on these networks, but surely the private sector is more than capable of providing this service! If we elect to finally cease this unnecessary practise, we can cut spending further and put some money back into the taxpayers pocket! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Once again the KU cannot support this proposal, mainly due to the fact that we do not agree with the statement that public media is not an essential issue. I assure right honorable gentlemen it is. Presence of public media, and I remind that under the "Public Television Broadcasting Bill of 4096" and "Public Radio Broadcasting Bill of 4096" the state fund fully independent broadcasting corporation which independence is supervised by National Media Council. State owned media are media for people. It is not an individual who holds the authority, and hence, it is not guided by an individual interest.State media have far much greater reaches than independent media in terms of population and geography and therefore, are preferred by the national plans and other campaigns that require maximum public attention. Anke-Marie Stier, Bundeskanzlerin der Bundesrepublik Dorvik. |

Message | Federal Chancellor, Public media; television, radio, an ESSENTIAL ISSUE? Federal Chancellor, you are surely pulling my leg! Yes we know the state funded media is fully independent, whilst some private enterprises may not be, but nonetheless we surely cannot let the taxpayer be burdened by its costs. There are already honest ad truthful private broadcasters out there, surely we should merely let the free market sort out such an issue. Kevin Cranz, FD Leader, Justice Minister |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
