Message | Mr Speaker, We vigorously oppose. The norm tends to be three to four terms for a President. If a President is popular with the people, what good reason is there for them to stand down. They can gain valuable experience throughout their time, and if the people want a change, they can do this thing called voting for a different candidate! With this proposal, instead of a popular incumbent being able to stand for another term, the second best option takes their place. The only reason your party has proposed this is out of jealousy that only the K&ZK (now United Right) has won Presidential elections for many years, and only lost once since the establishment of the Bundesrepublik. The Freedom Party needs to better respect democracy! Kevin Cranz, FD Leader, Justice Minister |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I fully concur with Mr. Cranz. We see no good reason to prohibit a popular president from taking part in a democratic, transparent election. Anke-Marie Stier, Bundeskanzlerin |
