| Lorenzo Verhoeven, President of the Republic: "Honorable members of the Parliament, I'm glad to present you this Declaration of Detent between us and a nation which since few times ago we could call as an enemy. Today the forces of the oppression and of the traditional immobilism are falling all around the world, this treaty comes just after few years another established with Vanuku. Our ancient enemy are falling one by one due the progression of the force of the Freedom, of the Democracy, of the Respect of the Human Dignity. We can today exult, but we invite first of all the people of Saridan to exult, to have finally reached the freedom they deserved and I think they waiting for too long time. Today I'd like to forget the past and focus on the future, a future in the sign of the friendship and civilized relationships, holding out our hand to Saridan for the good of our peoples. Thank you" |
