Bill: Cabinet Proposal of May 4193

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party (보수당)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4194

Description[?]:

This is a more stable option which will keep all in our land happy. The NCP cabinet along with the PAP will only lead to disaster. The GNP needs to remember that the PAP are unloyal to them as they broke the coalition government. Do we really want to see this happen again?

MessageMr. Speaker,

The election results are in, and we face a new round of formations. This political landscape is just as hard to navigate as the previous one was. First, we want to congratulate the winners: the Popular Action Party, Labour, the National Conservative Party and Vestre. Of course, we in the SDA are very pleased with the result of 45 seats and 18% of the votes.

Now we face the challenge of forming a new coalition. The last minority government of the Grand National Party was, in our minds, no success. Continued infighting between the GNP, the PAP, the Classical Liberals and the Conservatives led to inaction and bitter feuds. Some parties tried to blame those feuds on the left parties. Both ourselves and Labour have shown, however, that we are willing to compromise and work with the right-wing parties to govern.

We support this proposal of Labour, but we also want to add a warning: a coalition with the GNP will be hard, since we think radically different on a number of important issues. We want to send a positive signal, however. We want to give this coalition a try.

You would refuse any coalition no matter who it is with. It is clear you don't like any other parties here or either willing to work with others.

MessageDear Speaker,

We oppose the proposed cabinet. Such a cabinet overrepresents the left. There's like 8 ministers and only 5 right wing members in it.

Can you really not do simples maths?
Their are 13 ministers.5 are right 8 are left. However, my party do agree with the GNP on some bills they propose. As well as this we are the most willing with the SDA to form a successful coalition with the largest party here

MessageDear McLui,

We can do simple Math, it's just we are used to using Kyo Language. We've also agreed with your party on things in the past(such as boosting infrastructure, breaking up monopolies), but since you've been so kind as to insult us, we feel we are going to support our kin in the Popular Action Party.

To Ri Jong-su,
Wish to build a Kyo nationalist coalition?

MessageMr Speaker,

To the NCP, i have no partcular preference since as President, I have to be neutral. Socialism however is too dangerous and I very reluctantly have decided to do the hard thing and try to block such things. The PAP would be willing to work with the NCP, it is a party worthy of respect.

MessageMr Speaker,

the GNP has always asserted that to us a coalition with the left can be seen as a viable option in case of a combination of unfortunate circumstances leaving us with no alternative options. Now is the time to admit that such a scenario has indeed materialized, and that the national interest compels us to do what a statesman ought to, namely to safeguard our democracy from subversion and chaos. There is no question that on a whole range of issues, Labour and the SDA are not on the same page as the GNP. However, the main division at this time is of a more fundamental quality and touches upon the very foundations of our free society: the NCP has chosen to embrace unreconstructed Kyo supremacism as well as declaring its loyalty to a fictitious empire instead of the United Peninsula of Free Dranland, disqualifying itself as a partner. The PAP leader has nevertheless just called it an ally of his and "a party worthy of respect", after having labelled it, quite accurately, ''a bunch of lonesome and clueless fascists of the old school" only a few years ago. Thus he once again demonstrates his lack of trustworthiness and integrity, besides from essentially placing his party on the far-right fringe. In conclusion, we are left with Labour and the SDA as fellow defenders of the political order we have sworn to defend, a fact that outweighs any differences in the area of economics or social policy. I therefore ask the Legislative Council to approve of this proposal.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We applaud the statemanship and sense of responsibility of the GNP. Of course, there will be tough talks as our political views are opposite on many issues. We want, however, to ensure the GNP that we are willing to make compromises and govern this nation in a democratic, free and constitutional way. We thank the GNP and Labour for this historic opportunity.

Mr Speaker,

I second the statements of Mr McLui and Mr Sambridge, whom I likewise wish to applaud for their commendable statesmanship. I think we can agree that the main objectives this government will seek to follow is to ensure that our cherished political and social order based on equality before the law, non-discrimination, anti-racism, ethnic pluralism and republicanism remains safe from subversion and keeping a check on the unconstitutional ambitions of presidential power expressed by the PAP leader. Our differences in other areas remain considerable but pale in comparison to the unbrindgeable gap that separates from the fringe NCP and its new BFF residing in the presidential palace.

MessageMr Speaker,

We have absolutely no interest in supporting this yet another "grand compromise" between supposed opponents that compromise the establishment but we also understand the situation that we are in right now. Corrupted nationalists are pushing an unconstitutional coup down our throat and in solidarity, we are voting in favour of this resolution. Do not get it wrong, we won't support this government in anyways but we also won't let Crooked Ri and Lying Sung exploiting our position.

As stated before, I refuse to have anything to do with the 8 socialist Ministers and Mr Roro who has enabled this. Thus no Cabinet actions will be formally approved by myself until the socialist Ministers and enablers are gone.
