| Lorenzo Verhoeven, President of the Republic: "Hon. MPs, again, we are facing the madness and the hatred against our Nation! The Government of New Endralon, without any motivation, unilaterally decided to proceed against us with an embargo and expelling all the istalian citizens by its territory. But, furthermore, now it is menacing to arrest istalian citizens on the basis of "suspect" of intelligence activities on its territory. Ladies and Gentlement, once again istalian citizens are manaced to be arrested because the irrationality of another authoritarian and repressive regime afflicted by forms of persecution syndrom and by paranoia, this time this Government is that of a Nation to which Istalian never had eccessive relations and with which never we have to do until now. I'm personally sick of all this! We not only must face the terrorist menace of extremist fanatics, but now we must once again we have to fear for the safety of our citizens abroad. And personally, I think that it is time to take definitive and firm actions to show to the rest of the world that Istalia is not a country that can be constantly threatened without any consequences. Already once to save our citizens we had to submit to the requests of a criminal and totalitarian government, a real shame in the eyes of the world. But this time it will not be the same! Without taking clear and resolute actions implemented without hesitation, our country will continue to be targeted by any rogue nation or organization of this world. I also want to inform you that New Endralon is proceeding with the same sanctions and also the same threats against our dear ally of Baltusia with which the Presidency has already made contact. I know that many of you will criticize this proposal, but we have to say stop to these constant blackmail! If we are obliged, we will abide by force and fear! So, this is my proposal: if only New Endralon dares to proceed against one of our citizens, arresting or preventing him from returning safety in Istalia, such action will be considered as an attempt to trigger a military conflict and that we will proceed immediately with a naval and air blockade of the nation and if even then the local government were to refuse to cooperate, we will consider us officially at war with New Endralon with all the consequences that will follow, especially for them. |
