| Member of Congress, As you will be now aware the Confederation of New Endralon, which is ruled by a single national socialist party, has decided to impose punitive measures on our nation for no clear reason. http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=513396 As part of this, a trade embargo is set to come into effect in October 4194 (around the time of our election) and Baltusian businesses interests in their nation are set to be nationalised. Furthermore, Baltusian nationals will have just three days to leave the country or will be deported - and in some instances possibly detained as spies. Similar action has been taken against our ally Istalia, who are equally baffled as to why this hostile policy has been adopted. The only clue we have to why this action has been taken is a message from the Endralon Foreign Affairs Minister Cornelia Carstina who says that in her opinion our nation is likely to become hostile towards Endralon in the future. I therefore ask for the opinion of all parties in Congress now as to what steps or measure should be taken in the likely event this bill passes in October, so our new administration is ready to deal with this post election. And a charity has been set up called 'Safety4BaltusiansAbroad' by a friend of mine, they have ensured that many Baltusians currently residing in Endralon are both safe and can leave. Hopefully, the humanitarian side of things should now be dealt with. Firstly, I would encourage that Patricia Grayson, our Ambassador to the Security Council raises this issue to the Council. And secondly, I recommend that a meeting is called with senior officials from Endralon to resolve the situation. I think that if a meeting is denied or is unproductive, then further steps could be taken. Thank you. Should a Baltusian citizen be arrested by the New Endralon authorities, Baltusia will consider this an attempt to trigger a war. | Message | Members of Congress, We thank Mr Brown for his efforts and are disappointed that his attempt to enter into talks have not been reciprocated. Like Istalia, we are also waiting confirmation that all our citizens have now left New Endralon and have worked closely with Baltusian businesses that have interests there to transfer them back to this country, or to sister operations in neighbouring countries. We view this acton by New Endralon and their unwillingness to even talk as totally unacceptable. For the record, we have formally lodged an official complaint with the national socialist government there and our embassy will close when we can confirm the last of our citizens has been extricated. Furthermore, we are in close liaison with our ally Istalia over this matter and are talking to their neighbours Dolgaristan and Trigunia with whom we have good relations, to look at other ways of solving the issue. At this stage we will not be railroaded into conflict either by radical domestic policy proposals or an unpredictable administration in the Confederation; however, if any of our citizens are arrested in regards to this matter we would see that as a game changer and would take any, and all action necessary to ensure the safety of our people.
