Description[?]:
"It is with great pleasure that I would like to appoint Mr. Quintana of the Liberal Party to the position of Vice President of Beluzia. Mr. Quintana has faithfully served his party since its conception in 4147, and has made great strides, previously serving as Minister of Finance, Minister of Education and Culture, and Minister of Trade and Industry of Beluzia. He has proven himself to be capable, competent and a very convincing choice, for not only does he have many achievements to his name, his centre-left stance brings new perspectives to the Republican Party. In fact, if I may speak freely, he is a wonderful, gay little Federalist, with an absolutely stunning haircut, and I am so happy to not only call him my colleague but my good friend. God bless the people of Parlos Decina for bringing such a beautiful man to our Beluzian government. It is with great honor that I introduce him to the position of Vice President, and I hope that we will have much success together." - Sylvester Palmer, President of Beluzia |

Message | We believe this appointment would be unfair as the Libeal Party did not even have a candidate for President, as such we belive the VP should be a Presidental candidate. |

Message | With all due respect: our parties, as members of the United Front, do not typically run individual candidates when one member runs; this is why the Liberal Party did not run their own candidate in the previous election, because they were supporting me. I am rewarding Mr. Quintana's hard work in the Beluzian government while simultaneously thanking him for his support. It is also not unprecedented for a non-presidential candidate to be elected Vice President. In fact, our Kenneth Rhodes at the Republican Party, who has not run for President as of yet, was selected by the Freedom Party as Vice President following their victory in the election of 4186. However, I will keep your suggestion in mind for the future, if ever we have trouble deciding between a candidate involved in the presidential race and one not. |

Message | "I fear that this election has lead to the United Front gaining too much power, the presidency, a congressional majority, the Vice Presidency, and it looks like it will have a majority of cabinet positions as well. The people voted for the United Front, however and the president and his Vice President have our support, and we will accept Mr. Quintana as Vice President of the Republic of Beluzia. |

Message | OOC: forgot to mention that Jess Young, UPB congressional leader was the speaker of the recent statement. |
Date | 17:33:00, April 13, 2017 CET | From | Republican Party | To | Debating the Appointment of Ramon Quintana as Vice President |
Message | "Ms. Young, we acknowledge and understand your reservations. In the event that the currently proposed cabinet does not pass, we will rework it to provide a more even spread of positions outside of the United Front. However, we assure you that we do not blindly support each other within our organization and that we will not abuse our majority in Congress. Thank you for your input, and we will be more mindful of combating actions that may lead to perceived favoritism in the future." - Kenneth Rhodes, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republican Party |
Date | 19:30:48, April 13, 2017 CET | From | Unsubmissive Beluzian Workers Party | To | Debating the Appointment of Ramon Quintana as Vice President |
Message | Although we have our differences, we in the BRRP wholeheartedly support and endorse Mr Quintana as Vice President of our great country. He has worked with our party in the past and has shown that he is an advocate for populism and bipartisanship, not political dysfunction and partisanship, which has plagued some political parties in Congress and which I will not name names. We hope that Mr Quintana and Mr Palmer, a dear friend of mine can serve the Beluzian people to the fullest and implement policy which will benefit the nation and not policy that will move our nation backwards towards the abyss of despair and corruption. Sir Julius Romanus Furgenster A.P.S General Secretary |
