Bill: Preventing Human Rights Abuses of Clones Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4196
Description[?]:
Cloning is not a highly understood practice as of yet. Allowing scientists to clone humans is abusive and a blatant disregard for respect of human life. The very low success rate produces thousands of dead or inviable embryos and fetuses. Genetic damage is a prevalent problem that we cannot understand how to prevent yet. This leads to human lives being treated as a mere raw material, just another resource we are experimenting with. Just because we can do something does not mean we should. Cloning should be studied further before tests with humans should be performed. |
