Message | Mr Speaker, If someone chooses to make the awful, regrettable decision to have an abortion they should at least pay for it, particularly if they can afford it. We will be voting resoundingly against this. Zara Rose Health and Social Services Minister |

Message | Members of Congress Contrary to what the Health and Social Services Minister's has said, the women who go through abortions largely do it through necessities, such as abusive relationships. To add to that, the current legislation means that if someone is just above the income limit has an abortion - even if it's because of a medical emergency - they are forced to pay for it. Both of these examples show how the law change proposed by the Centrist Party is vitally important. And in our progressive, forward-looking society, it's high time the Republicans recognise this, and stop letting their traditionalist elements take control of party policy. Vice President Valentine Perkins BDGP Chairwoman and Home Secretary |

Message | We agree that is an unfair system when one woman has to pay and another does not. However, we oppose the phrasing used by the BDGP. In the National Party, we consider ourselves traditionalists and we greatly resent that label being used to describe the Republicans. They do not represent the traditional values of faith, honesty and hard work on which our great nation was built. They represent filth, corruption and sleaze. Billy Ray Murphy National Party President |
