Bill: Environment Protection Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4196

Description[?]:

Recently it was reported that a leak at a factory in Walkaunar has caused thousands of litres of poisonous chemicals to be released into an important river. Environmentalists predict that the aquatic life in the river will be wiped out and it will take years to recover. The company responsible, XQW Inc., is a major member in the software sector of Walkaunar and there are worries that a similar incident could happen in their other plants that exist throughout Malivia. The company has refused to comment on the issue.

Thus, I believe it is in the best interest of the people if we can create a bill to prevent such from happening in the future by encouraging companies to adhere to environmental regulations
