Description[?]:

Lorenzo Verhoeven, President of the Republic:

"I'm conscious of the fact that many parties are leaving the current government because they don't shares the necessity of the last meausures introduced, but we need of them, also because many of you caused serious troubles during a moment of great emergency, but not only, during a moment that see the Government achieves many successes!
As President of the Republic cannot leave the nation in the anarchy, not now and if you think that it would better for you create a parliament opposition, well... you have the right to do it! But also during the last elections the Nation clearly said what it want: made all the possible and take all the measures to destroy the menace, and this is what I'm doing!

We don't step out the elections, the newspapers, we do not deny to the people to express their opinion or to demostrate! We want also that always respect the law! All the demonstrations in any city will needs of an authorization from the local Law Enforcement HQ, and if there is a risk of violent degeneration the police will act to avoid any damage to the public and private proprierty and to the safety of the citizens.
The measures that could in effect hit the citizens rights is that about the control of the national information, but this is a necessary step to conclude our war against the terrorism! Just now I received a rapport about the discovery of a subversive group which use the web to organize them and to spread hate and subversive ideas in support of violent actions and of the terrirism. And already six person, associated to the Anarchist Nucleus are now under the custody of the Police.

I assure you, representatives of the Nation and fellow citizens that all these are TEMPORARY measures, taken only to assure your security and to be able, after the defeat of the menace, to enjoy again in peace and with tranquillity our democracy and our freedoms.
As said in the past, hard times needs hard measures.

And, more important things: I confirme already to you that the next elections will be held regularly without any restriction! Because as said I'm not betraying my role or our Democracy, I'm only take all the necessary measures in exceptional time to defend the Republic against those who want destroy it and our way of life.

Thank you"

Random fact: Periodically, it is a good idea to go through your nation's Treaties and arrange to withdraw from any that are unwanted.

Random quote: "I am a conservative to preserve all that is good in our constitution, a radical to remove all that is bad. I seek to preserve property and to respect order, and I equally decry the appeal to the passions of the many or the prejudices of the few." - Benjamin Disraeli
