Message | We would like to thank the government for acknowledging that people's generosity should not be inhibited and that donations should be legal and accepted. I, Arron Cheiner have been at the heart of this very complicated law for the past few days and I would like to take this opportunity to urge the house to vote yes and let people from all across the nation give money to courses they agree with. Let's stop inhibiting democracy and let's start embracing it. |

Message | Allowing the wealthy to buy influence is anti democratic. The current system allows all political parties to compete on a level playing field and allows the public to judge them on their merits. |

Message | We disagree with the Labour Party entirely. Buying to influence would be bribing, but this is different. It is no different to a man donating to a donkey sanctuary or a museum. If this comes into place a donation wouldn't buy people into the party, it pays for more leaflets, more billboards more events and then, democratically you can start winning elections. It isn't every day that small parties get into power but the current system allows extremists and people who are not really bothered to get the same funding as the presidential campaign! And basically to get free money! Also, when you join a party you would want to get out there campaign, spread the word and focus everything onto the party. However the current system puts the publics money into a party which you don't like and don't want to win. |

Message | It buys more than leaflets & billboards, it pays for policy. Large donors use their money to influence the policy decisions of political parties |

Message | So what? It is a campaign for christs sake there is always going to be a party which is richer than others and a party which is better at getting the words out. Just you watch, today it will be every party must have the same money, then it will be seats and votes, how far are we willing to go to achieve the myth of "economic equality?" |
