We believe the abolition of tax on non-luxury goods can only be a good thing. To help pay for this, a rise in the tax on profit made by corporations and on luxury goods is also expected, however.

MessageIt is only 3% higher. No business will be discouraged by this. In addition, the abolition of tax on non-luxury goods will likely encourage additional spending for businesses, and means there's good business in non-luxury goods too.

Honestly, we suspect we could afford, with our 90 billion surplus, to lose the non-luxury tax revenue here. However, we thought that would be too radical for the KP, who are averse to economic change and afraid of using up any of the 90 billion we have just lying around. Clearly this measure was unnecessary.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
