Message | We oppose all of these measures. How does limiting our military by excluding homosexuals and women from combat roles help strengthen it? We should continue to accept everyone and have a sizable force of citizens ready to defend their nation! As far as the position of chemical and nuclear weapons, having an openly aggressive foreign policy will only lead to war - the opposite of your stated goal to keep our nation safe. Slavery is illegal - forcing someone to join the military against their own volition is the definition of the worst form of slavery out there. Not only are you forced to do something against your will, you are forced to kill against your will. |

Message | You are not forced to kill against your own will, you may opt to perform non-combat roles. This bill states that the mandatory term served in the military would only be required during times of war. The FSP hopes to avoid, and will vote against, any instance of war. We hope the LIP will do so too. If our nation does end up in a war, we regret to do it, but we must have a large enough army to defend ourselves. How will having chemical and nuclear weapons lead to war? It will do the opposite. Any country that sees our nations military power would not want to pick a fight with us. That is the entire goal of the bill. We are not excluding homosexuality, you misunderstand. We simply believe that openness about sexuality of any sort has no place in the military. The issue with openness about homosexuality, is that we cannot have men/women who could end up being attracted to each other, serving in the same units. In the past integrated units (sexual preference) has not gone well. Article 4 was a mistake, the FSP meant to call for segregated units rather than non-combat roles for women. |

Message | We should certainly have them, but they should only be used as a last resort in the event of a proportional attack on us. If nuclear weapons are headed towards us then yes - let's use them. But we should never use them before anyone else does. That is the position our party has and will continue to support. |
