Bill: Retirement Reform of 4201

Details

Submitted by[?]: Independent Democratic Party (IDP)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4202

Description[?]:

We are proposing that we decrease the retirement age for our citizens from the age of 65 to the age of 62. The national average life expectancy of our citizens is 74 therefor under the current law on average our citizens just get 9 years to enjoy their retirement. Independent studies show that by having a lower retirement age the life expectancy could rise by 4-6 years and would create a better living for all citizens.

MessageMr Speaker,

If we allow people to retire earlier, it may take effect on our economy as we wont have as many people working. As well as this, it the context it is in, you make it sound like people don't have free time. Our peoples free time has been boosted over the last few years. We don't see any real need to change the age.
