MessageDoesn't the Minister believe that the poor should be protected and art 1 (essential sale tax) should be reduced to 0 %?

Concerning the other proposals my party's view is that we understand the pressure within the VFD to lower those taxes but these drastic measures will unbalance the economy. The former Government realized a surplus of
401 bn DUM (4202). That should be invested in the economy.

Whilst we do believe in cutting taxes, we are prepared to remove article one for now and leave the tax on essential goods at 3%.
